cron publish 5 months 1 week ago 046 - Blood Stained Mausoleum

TN-74, Cleveland, TN, US

John Henderson Craigmiles was a very successful man. He was a former sea captain, and a prominent business man in Cleveland, TN during the 1800s. However, his endured more tragedy than most people can imagine. Nina Craigmiles was born on August 5, 1864, to John Henderson Craigmiles and his wife, Adelia Thompson Craigmiles. From the day she was born, her entire family fell in love with her, especially John. He showered her with affection, and bought her the best toys money could buy. He rarely ever let her leave his sight, and, as a result, she had few friends her own age. Some people have suggested that she wanted friends her own age, but if she did, she didn't appear to want for it very much. She seemed very happy in such a loving family. Sadly, on October 18, 1871, that happiness came to an end. It was Saint Luke's Day, and Nina's grandfather, Dr. Gideon Blackburn Thompson, was taking her for a ride on a horse and buggy. He had done this many times before, and Nina absolutely loved riding. Apparently, Dr. Thompson lost control of the horse and buggy, because it went directly into the path of a train. Dr. Thompson was thrown to safety, but Nina was killed. The entire town was saddened by the news, and many people showed up for her funeral. After her funeral, Dr. Thompson and two others were baptized. The Craigmiles were devout Episcopalians, and since the Episcopal congregation of Cleveland did not have a church to visit at, John Henderson Craigmiles vowed to build one, which he did in memory of Nina. Saint Luke's Episcopal Church was consecrated on the third anniversary of Nina's death. It was (and still is) a very beautiful church. Not long after, Mr. Craigmiles had a mausoleum built behind the church in memory of his daughter. She was laid to rest inside, as was another infant son who died, and Mr. and Mrs. Craigmiles. Mr. Craigmiles met an untimely death after falling on some ice, which apparently triggered blood poisoning. A third member of the family had met a tragic death. Today, if you visit the mausoleum, you will notice red streaks the color of blood appear on it. The stories say that the bloody stains first began to appear on the Craigmiles mausoleum after Nina was interred there. With the death of each family member, the stains grew darker and more noticeable. Some of the locals began to believe that the marks were blood, coming from the stone itself, in response to the tragedies suffered by the family. To this day, the bloody marks remain. What may have caused them, and why they refuse to be washed away, remains a mystery.

cron publish 5 months 1 week ago 136 - Zombie Woods

Crawfordsburn Rd, Northern Ireland, GB

Zombie Wood or better known as The Old Coach Road used to allow their Lordships to go by carriage from the grand setting of the Clandeboye Estate to the train station at Helen's Bay without having to come into too much contact with mere peasants. Nowdays, the area forms part of the Ulster Way and there are a number of good geocaches in the area. This section tends to be especially quiet bar the odd dog walker or mountain biker. The tag can be found a short distance from the main track which, while generally in good repair, can get a little mucky in places after extended periods of rain. A good place to look would be the twin trunk tree pictured behind the fallen ones.

In the event of a zombie apocalypse, there would be worse places to hide than this!

Grey Point fort, A restored coastal artillery site, believed to be the best preserved example of its kind in the UK was originally built in 1904. It played a major role in the defence of Belfast during world war 2 when it was the operations HQ for all Northern Ireland coastal defences.

To find the tag, if approaching from the car park turn left to walk clockwise round the perimeter, just round the first corner you will see the tree in picture 2. check the obvious location.

Woohoo 320 miles one way for this cache1 from OKC. Ok, we already have a blue brain so my wife wanted a pink one. We have been watching this one for a while to see if anyone finds it. It was the closest one to our home in OKC, 320 miles from our house. Total miles driven today 688. We decided today was the day to go after it. Of course, we grabbed some other local caches while in the area. As we approached GZ, we reread the info and headed into the dog pen to find it. We did not spot it as first and I thought maybe it was outside, but my eagle-eyed wife was able to grab it. Man was she happy as she had her pink brain. Time to make a U-turn and head back east. We had a very fun day on this day trip to grab her a pink brain!

Visited and loved the museum at this place. I cannot believe how many times we have driven by on I-40 and did not stop. This place is fantastic. It is one of the best museums I have been in for years. Old cars galore! They had a 55 Corvette with 300 something miles actual miles on it. It is number 15 to be manufactured and the first Corvette with a V-8 engine. 265 CI. Awesome car. Lots of other cool old cars as other antiques included about everything you can think of. AND it is free. I would highly recommend it to everyone. I was totally impressed! Thanks for bringing us here to find your Zombie Brain.

The Zombies heard the legend of zombie-like pod people inhabiting Sierra Madre. After a thorough search, they found that the plant-like pods were alien beings that had taken over the town in 1956 when the movie “Invasion of the Body Snatchers” was filmed, and they were no longer around.

They did manage to find one brain that was left behind after the movie.

I have the great privilege to have family in here. This is my great grandparents, Christian and Marie Rostad, who were both born in Norway. They came moved from Norway to the United States at a time when immigrants were expected to quickly assimilate into American society in 1888. They lived in Crosby, Washington (just down the road about 8 miles). They had 3 boys. Alfred Rostad was my grandpa who retired from the shipyard and moved out to Seabeck with his wife, Hazel. They lived out their years in Seabeck. They did adopt their daughter, Dianne, from Hazel's half sister. Dianne is my mother, who has passed away in 2009.

I hope you take time to check out this old cemetery. Please park at the gate and take a walk down the path (yes there is really something down that path). Once you get to the fence around the cemetery, turn right and follow the fence until you find the entrance. Once inside, you will take the first path to the right and the headstone is just down that path.

For a hint, please compare the picture with same headstone. There is a difference between them.

Additional hint: A common pile up (#of sons) are hiding the brain.

As little as Earl might be these stones feel like Stonehenge for him... Just like the Solstice seen in Stonehenge there is a phenomena that zombies just want to be a part of which can be seen only at night and when you brind a gem that shares his name with the street this place is found on, only at night and at around 4:44am and therefor zombies like Earl hope that according to John 4:44 this might be the place to find a prophet and thus salvation from their zombie-being.
