Oh No! Zombies have invaded Catalina Island!

Unsurprisingly, there are some local celebrities resting here. This brain is hiding at the base of a small palm tree that hangs over Katie. Walk in through the gates and walk straight ahead toward a bench. You are looking for some Good Times.

Daylight find only! No vehicles or rental golf carts allowed on this road. You can park at the nearby golf course or Holiday Inn and it is a 5-minute walk.

Earl's... different. Unlike his kin, Earl wants a different life. He longs to be free. Sure, he loves the taste of a good brain every now and then (I mean, who doesn't, right?) but chasing down people and biting through craniums gets a little... blasé, y'know?

Thankfully, Earl's found a way out... a way to be himself, and yet still walk around in public. 'How?' you might ask. He became a Rob Zombie groupie! Earl is an original White Zombie, after all. And there are those who are willing to help Earl put his days of being stereotyped and feared behind him. These are a part of the Undead Underground Railroad, who still recognize that, unfortunately, a zombie still must consume an occasional brain to survive. So they stash brains along a zombie's travel route to help him or her get where they want to go.

So, that's why you'll find a brain here. Earl just caught Rob Zombie's show at the Las Rageous Festival in Vegas on the 19th, and he's slowly working his way south to catch Zombie's next gig in Mexico City on December 1st. His legs are short, so unless he can hitch a ride, it'll take him a while to get where he's going. Maybe you can help? Maybe you'd like to wait around for Earl and sing his favorite Rob Zombie song?

ATTENTION ALL ZOMBIE HUNTERS:

The zombies are coming! You need to find and use the zombie brain bait to lure a zombie to you. The brain you seek is available and ready for you to find.

Go to the Zombie Diner located at the coordinates. Five zombies were seen inside the diner, so stay away from the front doors. Go to the back of the diner. Look for the light between the two red bushes. Be careful lifting the skirt, you can see the zombies have already been here trying to get to the brains inside.

The brain you seek has been safely preserved and stored in an unofficial brain transportation tube. Use this brain to lure your zombie to you. The brain transportation tube is yours to keep.

Happy hunting!

What strikes every traveler is the Gothic tower, inspired by the Stephan tower, because you can see the church from afar, because it lies on a mountain and looks far into the land. We know them from concerts of the Styrian Chamber Music Festival and appreciate not only the beautiful construction and interior, but also the fabulous acoustics. The environment is very nice and the inn right next to it pleased by good quality and friendly reception. In short: the visit is worthwhile in any case!

cron publish 10 months 4 weeks ago 465 - Zombies at the Equator

Craftsman Way, Northwest Everett, Everett, WA, US

Zombies are invading - the Equator?? Well...not exactly.

The Equator was a two masted schooner built in 1888 and is famous for carrying author Robert Louis Stevenson to and from the South Pacific. It was later used as a whaling vessel, and was finally discarded on Jetty Island in 1956. Luckily it was rescued in 1967 but the funds were never fully raised to restore it.

Though no zombies have been spotted, rumor has it that the ship is haunted. Brave souls have reported glowing orbs and voices coming from the Equator.

The tag is under a large boulder on the west side of the Equator. Parking can easily be found all around. Happy haunting!

cron publish 10 months 4 weeks ago 068 - George M. Sutton Zombie Park

Sutton Wilderness Trail, Norman, OK, US

The Sutton Wilderness trails is one of the most beautiful spots in town, and includes a wonderful trail for a nice easy hike. What many do not realize is that the land this park is on used to be part of the Griffin Memorial mental hospital, and the wilderness here was used as farmland. Patients at the hospital would tend the land as part of their treatment. The remains of many of the old structures are still around today, and if you are willing to venture a bit off the trail, you can find all kinds of weird sights.

I recently went for a walk, and discovered what looks like some kind of old cement lid, and as a searched I realized this lid was holding back hordes of zombies, it was easy to spot the tell-tale sign of a half eaten brain hanging out in a small tree right next to the old lid!

If you hurry you might spot a zombie still wandering nearby!

(the brain is in a ziplock baggie, wrapped in dark gray duct tape, and hanging from a lower branch on the tree growing out of this odd cement lid)

cron publish 10 months 4 weeks ago 407 - A Bridge over Troubled Waters

400 E, Kouts, IN, US

Down south where Porter County meets Jasper County, the Kankakee River separates the forces of good and evil. Spanning the river at these coordinates is the historic Dunn's Bridge which is made from structural metal from the 1893 World Columbian Exposition. This is actually an award winning bridge, it's renovation in 2003 won a state award for engineering. However, there has been recent signs of zombie infestation on the Porter County side of the bridge and the innocent citizens on the south end are in danger! Watch carefully as you approach the bridge from the north, there is a driveway to this tiny county park on the west side of 500 east. Turn in the driveway and drive south towards the bridge, there will be a parking lot on the left. From the parking lot, walk towards the bridge and appreciate its beauty! Just kidding, keep walking towards the bridge and find the two large yellow barricades that are there to prevent zombies from crossing. On the west side of the barricade, there may be evidence of zombies! Whatever you find brains in is yours to keep! Sometimes zombies hide brains to protect them from other zombies!! Happy Hunting!!

cron publish 10 months 4 weeks ago 408 - Calkins-Brown House, Zombies for supper

Morgan Blvd, Valparaiso, IN, US

This forlorn, four story, formerly glorious house dates back to the 1860's but it's life span is limited. Soon the house will be razed and expensive high rise condos will take it's place. Rumor is that brains have been found in the sub-basement and evidence of zombie infestation has also been found outside near Morgan Blvd. If you look carefully around the sign advertising the former restaurant, you too may find signs of zombie activity. Sometimes zombies hide brains in containers to prevent other zombies from stealing their booty! Whatever you find the brain in, you can keep!! Look at the base of the east leg of the sign, see what you can find!!

cron publish 10 months 4 weeks ago 002 - Brains in the Badlands

Peel Regional Rd 12, Inglewood, Caledon, ON, CA

The zombie infestation seems to have a weakness at the badlands; the desert-like environment may be too much for them. I found a quality bundle of brains that maybe someone out there could use to lure zombies and help their own area, so I enclosed it in a ‘high tech safe’ to protect it.

The Cheltenham Badlands are a sensitive protected area, so you’ll need to find legal parking, possibly hike in, or access from the Bruce Trail which passes through the area. Do not leave the trails! Do not cross any fences! Obey the signs!

The brain safe is, well, safe, in a secluded spot, just off the main Badlands Trail at the end of a secondary, now closed, trail.

Please try not to die in the badlands, more brains out in the open will just attract more zombies!
