This abandoned ball field looked clearly like a zombie hot spot but today it was a barren wasteland of nothing. No sign of the brain eating wanderers nor any sign that they had recently been here other than this lonely brain that had been disturbed as it was lying on the ground out of its hiding place. A return visit to the scene resulted in a toxic/zombie slime cleanup...which was all that was remaining of the original setting. I braved contamination to retrieve the tag - and then initiated on-going remediation actions - that stuff gets everywhere. 😀 the drum has been removed and is being located at a secure facility. Thanks for alerting us to the presence at this site.

8:16 AM. I had planned my trip today around seeking this "Feed The Zombie" tag that showed up last night. Thanks for the placement. It's the closest to where I live in Alabama that I've seen for the "Feed The Zombie" tags (there was another one in Atlanta previously, not sure where though). There was also a GPSgames.org Geodash that was in Atlanta that I was able to score. I even got a bonus of finding 2 locationless caches on the Terracaching.com web site while seeking the Zombie Tag. After finishing in Atlanta, I went to Warner Robins and found a Groundspeak geocache as FTF. So that's 3 FTF's in 3 different games today. The Terracaching ones have been logged in the past. Thanks for the fun.

Heard about this drop in a geocaching group on Facebook, but figured some intrepid brain hunter would snag it before I got to my car. A couple of days passed, and word on the street was it was still unclaimed. Never having been accused of having an overabundance of brains myself, I took this as a sign to stock up, and made the grab in a very public way using a technique we geocachers often use, which is pretending nobody can see you. Success.

I thought Zombies LIKED the dark! Arrived at GZ early enough this morning for it to still be dark. No Zombie did I see, smell, or hear! Maybe they were scared of me, all ready to take one down? I WILL BE BACK! To make matters worse, I was late to work! Had to work through some of my lunch hour! After work, all fired up, I returned home to get my favorite black coveralls and one or two tools of the trade. Then, off I sped to this spot, AGAIN! Spotted some zombies this time and dispatched them! Now, where was that brain? I tried to look, but could not see it. Pulled out a tool of the trade, but still no luck. Time for a gadget that I rarely need! Pulled it out, set it up, and used it! Hmm. Still nothing! Was the brain claimed already? Puzzled, I went to put away my special gadget. Then, I spotted something - but it looked more like a cache, a magnetic key holder, ON THE GROUND! HUH?! I started to open it up, and then I smelled the brain! I quickly opened it up! That's why I could not find it this morning! :-D

It was a dark Halloween night. What better night than tonight to go out in search of zombies? We had recently heard that there had been reports of strange noises and zombie like activity in this remote area near the Water Reclamation Center. As we ventured off to the outskirts of town, we passed stores, we passed neighborhoods with all the trick or treaters, big and small. The further out we went the darker and quieter it would get. As we came over the small hill, we spotted the WRC, the lights were so bright, what kind of experiments could they be doing in there? As we walked up to the base of a remote entrance to the facility, we looked down and spotted some brains. Once we had the brains in our hands we heard strange noises and what sounded like footsteps. The only thing it could be is the Sewer Zombies! They are covered in sewer slime and their clothes are decayed, giving them brown and green colors. Additionally, part of their rib cage is exposed and the left eye has popped out of the socket, but is still attached, a part of the top of their skull is also missing. Sewer Zombies have a characteristic zombie limp in their movements, and commonly fall over as they walk. Sewer Zombies have a variety of ways to attack: usually they'll walk into their prey and start clawing at them. However, their arms are easily detachable, in which case they bite, or instead, spit a green, acid-like substance. We didn’t stick around for the attack, we took the brains and got out of zombie land.

So at 8:50pm I get a notification of a Tag that needed to be snagged. But unfortunately I was working till 1am. I figured someone from the close bye fireworks/geocaching event would make the find. Apparently not. Hours went by and at the end of my shift I decided to see if anyone has snagged the Tag. No.....Hmm...Well it’s on my way home so why not. Made my way to GZ with only the moon light to light my way. Once I was close I took out my little flash light. Did some searching and Bingo! What a delight! Never had a chance to get one of these things! So on my way back to the car I had to make a quick stop at the amazing geocache close by called “ Arachnophobia“ seamed appropriate so I took a picture and headed out. Thanks for hiding this neat little tag! Going to add it to my hat with the rest of the pins!

Walking into the woods, I could hear zombie dogs barking and hear zombies rustling in the leaves. I took the wrong path first and found myself surrounded by a hoard of zombies and ran the back the other direction. I picked the right path and was able to locate the brains in one of three similar looking trees. And then I got the hell out of there before the zombies got me... Trick or treat!! There was definitely a treat!!

What an eventful afternoon! BWJM and I tried to make plans for some caching but with the wet weather we steered away from the trails. We decided to grab the last unclaimed tag in Ontario! Drove up from KW to take a look. We arrived at the parking gate and saw so many zombies. After scaring a few away we followed the hint pictures. The river looked very dangerous with zombie infested insides so we steered away. Beside the infested waters was the elusive home of the safe kept brain. After walking the zombie training grounds trail back to the brain-transportation-mobile we noticed something could be wrong with our machine. We drove down the trail heading home and about 1km down the trail I had a hunch something was wrong with our machine. We blew a rubber! The acid rain was coming down and we knew the zombies were onto us. Had to call another non-infected human who knew more about how to repair our transporter. After a couple hours of both of us working on our machine we couldn't get it repaired. Time to call in a brain-transportation-mobile-transporter aka a flatbed! After a long trip home the brain made made it far away from the zombies! A huge thanks to the TO (tag owner) for placing the tag. The container was a great surprise to find, a lot of work went into it. I also got a pin to my favourite YouTube channel! A great adventure and now it's time to get the tire fixed! I was at work when this one posted and knew it would be at least a couple hours before I could give chase. I hustled up and got everyone where they needed to be and then off to give chase. When I arrived at GZ I had thought I’d missed it as there was nothing under the lamppost. Was I at the right one? Did someone beat me to it? I was fixing to go search the to closest lampposts when I spotted it on the ground. The wind had apparently blown it out of its hiding spot. Still works as a find! Saw this one post and wasn’t sure I could make it before anyone else but hopped in my trusty steed and raced in. Arrived at ground zero and no matter how I jumped or felt around I could not locate the goods so headed back to see what I had that I could stand on and another car was headed my way. Hoping it was a fellow Zombie slayer and not the law enforcement I began digging through my trunk for anything that could make me a little taller. Luckily it was super zombie slayer psteelman1 who had already taken care of the hoard in hopes of a different prize. Thanks for the assist psteelman1! Now to head home where it’s warmer! I (Ol'Fogie) was logging geocaches from a Poker Run yesterday when the notice popped that this li'l brain was waiting to be found. Grabbed some java and headed to the findmobile (yom had to stay behind with a fractured ankle suffered during the aforementioned poker run). Talked to several of the Underwoods gathered there before noticing the one that truly stood out from the others. Once I was friends with the correct gent, the find was pretty easy. Thanks for hiding!

A1bob saw this pop up in his email and we decided to spend a nice morning and take a drive. We were happy to see that no one was around when we got to the qz so we could do some searching. A1bob knew where to look and lifted the metal top and I was excited to see the sunlight glimmer on the little piece of plastic. Woot! We got our brain! So excited.! What a cool treat so close to Halloween.

Woohoo 320 miles one way for this cache1 from OKC. Ok, we already have a blue brain so my wife wanted a pink one. We have been watching this one for a while to see if anyone finds it. It was the closest one to our home in OKC, 320 miles from our house. Total miles driven today 688. We decided today was the day to go after it. Of course, we grabbed some other local caches while in the area. As we approached GZ, we reread the info and headed into the dog pen to find it. We did not spot it as first and I thought maybe it was outside, but my eagle-eyed wife was able to grab it. Man was she happy as she had her pink brain. Time to make a U-turn and head back east. We had a very fun day on this day trip to grab her a pink brain! Visited and loved the museum at this place. I cannot believe how many times we have driven by on I-40 and did not stop. This place is fantastic. It is one of the best museums I have been in for years. Old cars galore! They had a 55 Corvette with 300 something miles actual miles on it. It is number 15 to be manufactured and the first Corvette with a V-8 engine. 265 CI. Awesome car. Lots of other cool old cars as other antiques included about everything you can think of. AND it is free. I would highly recommend it to everyone. I was totally impressed! Thanks for bringing us here to find your Zombie Brain.

Op de terugweg van Delft naar de Vlaamse Ardennen kreeg ik van CaracalShan bericht dat deze in Antwerpen was verstopt, op wandelafstand van het station van Antwerpen-Berchem. Gelukkig had ik voldoende overstaptijd tussen twee treinen, en met de bagage erbij ging het in looppas richting de locatie. En jawel, gevonden, zalig!

Na het werk nog 3 Caches bezocht en dan wachten op email. Want de Snag the Tag 🧠kwamen meestal uit om 17:02. Na div kansberekeningen hoopte ik op een bepaalde locatie. Dus tegen die tijd wachten we daar en helaas geen email. Dan rijden we door naar kolonisten 7. De kids zijn naar Limburg dus we hoeven niet vroeg thuis te zijn. Vorig jaar waren we naar een Halloween event en dit jaar dan een Halloween markt door een oproep op facebook. Het is hier gezellig en druk en konden mooie foto's maken rondom het koor. Hier konden we direkt de Multi Kerken In Hippolytushoef afmaken. Afgelopen jaar aan begonnen en nooit af kunnen maken ivm sommige waypoints. We krijgen email om 19:02 ??? Dat kan niet waar zijn. Ons hart gaat sneller kloppen want dit is bijna onmogelijk. We lopen snel terug naar het plein en de zoektocht kon beginnen. Er lopen hier wel 100 mensen en velen verkleed. We zijn op het nulpunt en we snappen er niets van. Nog een keer kijken op de telefoon en worden aangesproken door buurtbewoners. Ze vragen wat we aan het doen zijn. We doen een spel was ons antwoord. We dachten dat ze hun rol wel heel goed speelden want ze kwamen boos over en dreigen de politie te bellen. Dus ik zeg bel de politie maar en nu tjop tjop wegwezen. Toen liep hij helemaal boos weg 😂😂 waarschijnlijk zijn vrienden halen. We vinden ons kado en peren hem snel om verdere problemen te voorkomen. 🤪 Wij zijn erg blij met onze 3e STT.

Kwam onder werktijd online, pas na het eten en ernstige twijfel toch maar gaan rijden. Naar mijn idee kon ie elk moment gevonden worden dus hield ik mijn telefoon tijdens het rijden in de gaten. Op locatie geen auto's en gewapend met een zaklampje naar de toren. Daar werd de stash met hersenen gevonden. Dat deze na ruim 2 uren niet eerder gevonden is, benieuwd of er nog jagers onderweg waren. Dank voor deze tag!

Woohoo, my first tag snagged! I just realized this Zombie game was going on yesterday and set up a notification just in time...I saw this one publish last night and was disappointed I couldn't go for it then... I couldn't believe it was still available today after work! I got home and convinced gylb456 to come along (with a promise of dinner), so we made the 90-minute drive from home to Dubois, arriving at the parking lot around 7pm. Armed with flashlights (regular and UV), we headed for where we assumed the trail started and found the path. It was dark, wet, and slippery...we first followed the trail straight towards GZ and ended up on TOP on the tunnel entrance, with no safe way to access from above. I could see the tracks down below, but just couldn't get to them. We backtracked and scouted for a better way down the hillside, didn't find one, then realized our initial mistake in following the path. On the second try, we found a much more gradual approach on the path down to the old railroad bed, which we were then able to follow for about a tenth of a mile, right to the foreboding entrance to the tunnel. What a perfect location for a zombie-themed hunt, only made better by the damp, dark, and foggy night. We proceeded into the tunnel and counted off the magic number of 57 RR ties, then broke out the UV light to search for the brain as was intended. It only took a minute or two until I spotted the hide. I excitedly retrieved the container and opened it to reveal our prize... awesome! And an extra thank you for the bonus path tags, love them! We made a half-hearted (or should I say half-brained?) attempt at a cache on the way out, but gave up quickly, since we already accomplished our goal for the night and still had a long trip home (and dinner) ahead of us. What an adventure, thanks so much!

FOUND En hier zit een ongelooflijk verhaal achter.... Arendonk had nog enkele caches liggen die we vandaag gingen bezoeken en verzilveren. En na een vruchtbare cach-dag was het tijd om een frisse Duvel en een Kriek te nuttigen in café de Mèt , toen er plots op de Gsm van O enkele pings binnen kwamen met de vermelding dat ergens...in het wijde Arendonk brains zouden liggen... Onmiddelijk de coords in gegeven en na een hoop adrenaline te hebben opgebouwd werd het uiteindelijk een hebbes , wetend dat we in de namiddag op enkele meters er af stonden bij het loggen van de Molen !!! Bij de vorige serie van "Snag the Tag", was ik één van de gelukkigen. Maar de recente publicaties waren allemaal ver weg: België, Friesland Gisterenochtend kwam er één uit bij Roosendaal, dat is voor mij ongeveer 5 kwartier rijden, dus dat zal wel niets worden, bleek later dat de eerste vinder er pas na 2 uur was. En dan aan het eind van de middag deze. De vorige in Antwerpen duurde ook ruim een dag dus even in de gaten houden. Eind van de avond...nog niemand die de tag geclaimd had, dus toen ik om 4 uur wakker werd en er nog steeds niemand was geweest, was de beslissing snel genomen. Stukje rijden, maar dan heb je ook wat. Kwart voor zes op GZ en daar is het uiteraard snel bingo. Best een aardige plek.... Thanx for hiding.

I have been watching the ones that had published in Iowa over the past couple weeks. Was thinking I was going to have to head to Des Moines here soon if I was going to get one. I saw this publish and noticed I was just over an hour away. So after work I headed hom to change clothes and headed out. Arrived about 7pm to the area. It was a windy and rainy evening here. Used the flashlight to look around and spotted the brains in the corner of my eye. Whoo hoo.

As the cool autumn air rustled the leaves and the sun let off her last beams of warm welcoming light for the evening I went about a relaxing walk in this lovely park. It was shortly after that I felt something was amiss. A strange fog began to rise from the pond nearby. There was a man walking his dogs while on the phone. He carried on with his conversation unaware at the dangers lurking. His dogs began growling. Their low steady growl echoing off the nearby buildings. Something had the pooches on their guard. Their fur stood at attention. They showed teeth and snarled. It was then I heard a whisper almost undisguishable. I thought it was the voice of a man but it was far away. As I walked further from the field it grew louder. It was then I thought I could make out the sound. Braaaaains is what it moaned. I knew I was losing it. Too much work and not enough fun, it makes you a little loopy at times. Braaaaains the wind was whispering through the trees. The sound grew louder and louder until....a scream. The scream was of pain, anguish, surprise. I called out, "are you ok". I heard a gurgling cry of help. The sound of someone drowning. And then out from the mist, a man. He was covered in blood and reaching out with one arm while covering his throat with his other hand. He was drowning in his own blood. My adrenaline was pumping. I reached for my phone but something grabbed a hold of my arm. I swirled around in a panic and with a half slap and a full push I was free. I turned and ran but tripped over the man who was now on the ground and surely dead. I came inches from slamming face first into an air conditioner unit. It was then I found the canister of toxic waste. Surely this was from a government experiment gone wrong. I quickly grabbed the container while I was on the ground thinking this must be related. I was beginning to gain my composure when the man I had tripped over.... THE DEAD MAN I had tripped over began to get up. Gone were the cries of help as he drown in a puddle of his own blood. He now looked at me with dark, blank eyes and softly screamed "braaaaains". It was then I bolted. But more of these creatures with the body of a man but the blank expression of a scarecrow surrounded me. The dogs that I heard earlier came running, lunging, and fought them back. I saw my chance, a hole between them that the dogs had created. They weren't going after the dogs. It was me they wanted. I quickly ran to my vehicle, got in and locked the doors. What happened next was what happens in all horror movies. That's right I couldn't remember my password to log my find. So now you get a long story after I got home, has dinner, and then finally got logged in.

Finally Snagged a Brain! Was worried that this wasn't going to be here when I made it here. I was coming to town to visit some family when I saw this tag pop up on the map. Pulled car into the nearby parking area and grabbed my headlamp and headed off down the spooky and dark trail. I was careful not to disturb any of the zombies on the way to the bridge. Yeahhhh hebbes! Jeetje, dat was een partijtje spannend! Toen deze gistermiddag online kwam, had ik dat niet eens in de gaten omdat ik bezig was met een (eigen) cito by night. Dat word natuurlijk laat, maar toen vanochtend de mail af ging van een nieuwe cache zag ik dat ik deze gemist had. Antwerpen, hmmm da's een eindje rijden maar wel te doen! En dan is ie ook nog eens niet gevonden. Tijdje het verkeer in de gaten gehouden, en na de tweede bak koffie besluit ik dan toch maar te gaan. Wat een partij file zeg, daar waar ik tijd had ingehaald liepen de minuten in de strook van Antwerpen weer omhoog... Zou ik het halen, zou iemand me voor zijn geweest... Als ik dan het laatste stukje toch door kan scheuren en op locatie aan kom, zie ik al snel waar ik moet zijn. Een ieniemienie stukje parkeerruimte over, gelukkig past ie daar in. JAAAAAAAAAAAA! Hij lag er nog! Super vet!!!!! Even was ik bang dat het niet meer zou lukken maar met een stel hersenen in 'n mooi potje in handen valt 't kwartje toch echt. Super gaaf!! Op de terugweg de hersenen snel nog even gevoerd met wat kippig brein voedsel haha. De legger (Luc?) : SUPER BEDANKT !

I can’t believe I’m saying this...it almost hurts to say it...I’m SOOOO GLAD Sfcchaz moved to GA!!! Well, not really ‘cause he took all of his great caches with him. 😿 I saw this one publish last night but I couldn’t go for it because the little one was in bed. Grab after daycare opens, but before work? Not enough time! So I stalked the brain from work all day today before breaking out at 2:30 to head for the posted coords. What an interesting little place to find brains! Naturally, I checked for any nearby geocaches and found a puzzle. Solved it quick and went for the find. Guess what? A zombie was inside! My brain hider released their zombie in the nearby cache! Grabbed him for a few adventures before I will let him go out into the world again. Quite an adventure today! Was playing a board game with the boys and happened to check my emails and noted the new publication. It was 90 mins old so I fully expected it to be claimed already.... But then I recalled that is also recieved a claimed notice.. not so this time... So close to home that I had to try.... The boys understood.... I found a spot to park and made my way towards GZ... Even after dark this is a busy path... I had to do a couple of fly bys until the first was clear... I initially looked for the item in the first photo but once is reviewed the others I knew where to go.... A passerby stopped 5m short of GZ and started using his cell... I was convinced he had to be a cacher killing time until I moved on, but he'd no clue what I meant when I asked.... So I wandered ll further up until the coast was clear and then made the quick grab I left the camo on site.. assuming the CO will want to reclaim it.. Someone also waived from a window in the house nearby.... Not sure if it was at me, someone else or he was just stretching... If it was the CO then 'hi' and thanks Found at 7.05pm

As Geocachers, we practice our hobby everywhere we go. Some of our favorite stories are about the beautiful and sometimes surprising places that Geocaching has taken us to. We are from Oklahoma and have come to Tucson to attend a family funeral. We have hidden over 600 caches in our I See Dead People geocaching series. Hmmm, I’m seeing a pattern here but luckily we’ve never seen a single zombie at any of our cemetery caches. We were surprised to find this one available after 5 days. Oh how the mighty have fallen! Much like the great cypress trees of old being felled, this mighty hunter also went down into the mud this night. Not just any mud either, but a foul-smelling stench, bubbling and brewing as if it flowed straight from the underworld. My conquest may have been successful, but it did not come without great cost. With light in one hand, and blade in the other I found the entrance to the zombie lair. My plan was a sneak attack. It was a good plan; well thought out; sound in strategy. That plan was foiled immediately though. My first step sunk into the mirey deep. I quickly compensated with a graceful right step, only to discover it sunk even worse than the first. With both feet stuck there was nothing to save me… And in a graceful, slow motion, I fell; and boy was there a great splash. Clearly the surprise element was gone, so my mind quickly thought back to our country’s greatest warrior. My only hope now was to do my best Arnold imitation as he battled the Predator. So here I crouched, covered in the foulest smelling, icky mud, and who knows what else, I made my way through the tunnel. The zombies were confused when they couldn’t find me. I was invisible to them. Whew! Each sloshing step brought me closer to the prize I sought, until finally I was there. A short search proved successful and I claimed my prize. After exiting the way I came, I had a long, wet walk back to the car to reflect on one of the more crazy, terrifying, insane, night adventures that I’ve been on in a long, long time. I’ll happily thank the hider, as soon as I can get home, burn these clothes, and get rid of the stench. Wow!

I got notification of the zombie hanging out here yesterday, but I was tied up with other things and wasn’t able to make it out. When I woke up this morning I realized I hadn’t seen a notification that the zombie problem had been handled. I checked and sure enough the zombie were still hanging out there. So I hopped in my car and ran out as fast as I could. It was nice and dry until I was within 1 mile of the zombie sighting. Just then it started pouring down rain and by the time I got out of my car it was hailing. I ran for it, made the grab, and made it back to my car without getting too incredibly soaked. So happy to have helped with the campus of it zombie problem!

I was just settling in for some rest after meal prepping for the week when I saw the email notification pop up for this tag. I live relatively close compared to most of the other cachers in the area so I told my dog let’s go and off we went! I was nervous the whole time thinking surely someone else would get there before I could! We pulled up to an almost empty parking lot and seeing no flashlights in the area of the hide we took off and quickly found our prize!

Woohoo!!! Huge thank you to the hider and to the friend that alerted me about the tag. I haven’t really been able to do any caching since Ape X this summer. Almost nothing in The past month! :( On my way from Burley to Bangor this morning. Just putting on my boots and turning over the kiddos over to the wife when the message came in. Posted 10 minutes ago!! Drove as fast as legally allowable and arrived to see several cars idling around. Thinking that I may have missed my shot, I just calmly walked past and started looking anyway. 5 seconds later, my eyes spotted it! I think that I may have made some people look at me funny, but didn’t care because this “snack†is coming with me! ^_^ I really missed caching and it is things like this and the people who take the time to make this work that really make it so much fun for me. Well, funny story...I had hid a geocache in the exact same spot (must be that secretive, but not that secretive type of spot) and when I submitted it, I was denied the location because it was too close to another geocache. UUUUGGGH. I had to go back a few weeks later to get the cache back and to my surprise, there was something else right there with it! A juicy BRAIN! I snagged it and took it home, carried it in my purse for two days and finally got around to logging it, only to find this crazy challenge!

WAAHOO!! I recall discussing this new contest with someone (sorry I can’t recall your name) at our Mega Event the Pirates of Port Royale! I saw a few posts on FB and was pleasantly surprised to see one hidden only about an hour drive from my house! I put my shoes back on and braved the rain. Upon arrival I made a beeline to the library and was disappointed to not see any books about the pope! My heart a little broken I called back home to report the loss and prepared to mark it as missing. However since I’m annoyingly determined I decided to be thorough and check ALL of the books anyways! I flipped my way through two full stacks of books and had just closed the back cover of the last when I spotted something tucked in the corner! I reached my hand in and pulled out a zombie brain!! THANK YOU!! I had fun following the clues and the rollercoaster of emotions. I help to host our own Golden ticket contest so it was nice to be able to participate in one that someone else had organized! Thank you to the hiders, organizers, designers, and everyone else involved! This was a blast!!

So after a long day at the hospital I saw this publish and knew I would have to go after it! I got my zombie vaccine and headed out as soon as I could. The tide was coming in fast as I put the pieces in place and made the find with the help of my trusty flashlight at 10:20 pm. This was a great find and I appreciate it so much! I was kicking myself for not paying closer attention to this site. I could have easily snagged this tag on my way home from work, but it wasn't until I was settled down in my bed that I noticed this one went live. I even contemplated getting back up and making a late night run to look for this, but then noticed where it was hidden. So, I set my alarm clock a little earlier than normal and got here as the sun was just beginning to light up the sky to the east. I waited a little longer to begin my search so that I would have enough light without having to resort to using my headlamp, respecting the place in which this was hidden. I was happy to find it quickly and easily, exactly as described. What a great start to my day! I can't wait for a zombie to come my way looking for some BRAINS!!!
